CUARCITAS DEL TELENO, S.L. extracts the "maragata" or "Astorga" stone from its quarry in Brazuelo. This stone is a quartzite one cleaved into flagstones with different thicknesses.
Its origin is metamorphic, from Late Ordovician-Silurian, and it contents a 70%of quartz, a 20% of phyllosilicates and a 10% of brown-reddish oxides.

In addition our Company commercializes NATURAL STONE of other quarries of recognized prestige: " Cuarcita Gris and Green Cándana ", " Cuarcita Marrón Padornelo ", Sandstones, etc.
Flagstones of lesser thickness and irregular shape (Telenitaâ) are sorted out according to their thickness from 1 to 3 cm and 3 to 5 cm. They are used in wall cladding and surfacing or pavements.
They are delivered in pallets of 1 m3.
Flagstones of bigger thickness are used for masonery both on outer works and home decoration ( Taco Quartz from Astorga). These flagstones are directly extracted at the quarry without any cut or processing. They are clasiffied at most 10 cm of thickness.
They are marketed in sacks or big bags about 1,50 t.
Irregular shaped stones with different sizes are sold in loose and are used in gardening and old building restoration.
